The Joguets owned prime vineyard land on the left bank of the Vienne, just outside Chinon in Sazilly dating back to the Middle Ages. Charles Joguet, a young painter and sculptor abandoned an art career to assume direction of the family domaine in 1957. Today, the young and talented Kevin Fontaine oversees the vineyards and the cellars, farming 36 hectares of Cabernet Franc. ‘Cuvée Terroir’ is a blend of different parcels aiming to highlight the harmony of Chinon’s terroirs.
