"The 2019 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos des Quarts has turned out nicely, offering up aromas of pear, orange oil, peach and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy, with a textural attack and a bright core of fruit, it's pretty and charming. Olivier Merlin and Dominique Lafon formed a partnership to acquire the Château des Quarts in 2012. The Clos des Quarts, the château's 2.23-hectare monopole in the commune of Chaintré, is now farmed more seriously and vinified by Merlin at his La Roche-Vineuse winery. The 2019 rendition has turned out very nice and comes recommended", (WA).
