The Saint Aubin Murgers Dents de Chien d'Armand Heitz is a monopoly, as it is the only Domaine in this appellation to grow pinot noir in this climate renowned for its white wines. The grapes are vinified in whole bunches, then the wines are aged for 11 months in partially new oak barrels (around 20% depending on the year) to obtain greater complexity and finesse. They are juicy, on berries, carried by fine, polished tannins. This fine, elegant 2019 offers notes of peony, blackcurrant and black cherry. The palate is silky and refreshing, with hints of coffee, chocolate and sweet spices.
