I remember first tasting Jean-Marc's 2021 Meursault nearly two years ago. We were still piecing together a tentative view of 2021 whites (suppose we still are) and agreed that this Meursault illustrated an emerging vintage subset that resisted easy reduction to weather data. Then as now: the best 2021 whites do not at all present as creatures of a challenging vintage.
Lime-y, floral aromas hold for the first half glass after which 2021's leafy/minty particulars pull the nose wide open. The Roulot minerals, subtle initially, intensify to the point that fruit seems a distant priority.
