Many of our favorite 2016s typify their vintage’s dense, low-yieldy personality.  And though Domaine Dujac dissents from 2016's stylistic mainstream via unusually vibrant, raspberry-fresh personalities, the set undoubtedly numbers with the vintage’s most persuasive.

Brilliant, star-bright profiles clear space for vivid whole-cluster expression.  This is especially true of the two Morey cuvées offered here, each of which adds an impressive width of black tea and green peppercorn to their buoyant red fruit.  The villages (‘Porroux,’ ‘Le Village,’ ‘Clos Solon,’ ‘Les Herbuottes’) drinks a full level up this year.  All three do, come to think of it.

Cheers,

Jason
