2008: a Roumier all-timer both from the standpoint of consistency and authentic high points (2008 ‘Amoureuses’ being arguably Christophe’s single greatest wine…ever). The Chambolle villages outdrinks two-thirds of ‘Les Cras’ bottlings this century and ‘Bussière’ achieves a level of textural polish matched only by 2010 and, perhaps, the vintage-defying 2021.
