We've got your Salon fix just in time to ring in the New Year. These pristine bottles were all disgorged in January 2019 and are perfectly vivid and fresh. They all show a distinctive character from the harmonious 2007, through the exotic and opulent 2006 to the incisively crystalline 2004. What they share are purity and massive life-affirming energy. They're great to celebrate with and a great cause for celebration.

Salon is the singular Champagne. It is one cuvée issuing from one varietal from one village and one house in one vintage.
Salon has always been made the same way, from the same 1ha parcel in the Jardin de Salon and 19 other parcels (totalling 5ha) of Chardonnay in Le Mesnil. They have been working with the same growers for over a century. The quality is sky high and the selection is beyond exacting; vintages that are less than ideal are not fit for the Salon name and are consequently passed over.

The 2007 Salon (Edition 2019) is just starting to show the first signs of aromatic development and nuance, as well as a touch more body than it did upon release. Rich, creamy and ample, with stunning textural richness and freshness, the 2007 is incredibly expressive today, certainly much more so than it was upon release. The 2007 is a dark horse Salon that keeps getting better with time. This is a fabulous showing. Dosage is 6 grams per liter. Disgorged: January, 2019. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous
The 2006 Blanc de Blancs Le Mesnil Brut is quite tangy and reserved by the standards of this sunny, demonstrative vintage. Offering up aromas of smoke, toasted bread, orange oil, mocha and confit lemon, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with racy acids and a concentrated, surprisingly structured mid-palate. Concluding with a long and gently empyreumatic finish, this is a fine success. This bottle was disgorged in January 2019. - William Kelley, Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The 2004 Salon (Edition 2019) is fabulous. That is hardly a surprise, as the 2004 has always been magnificent. Subtle, nuanced and classy to the core, the 2004 shows the more refined side of Salon. In that sense, it shares a good bit stylistically with both the 2007 and 2008, but much less so than with the 2006. Sweet floral notes add lift to a core of crystalline, mineral-infused Chardonnay fruit in a Salon that is precise, light on its feet and buffered by enough energy to drink well for decades to come. Disgorged: January, 2019. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous
