‘Burgundy has priced itself out’:  it may have just priced itself back in.

In fact, if Burgundy was this good and this price oftener we might never leave the nest.  Though one of our largest passions is reminding that Burgundy remains a trove of value - the Côte d’Or very much included - we nevertheless cede that finding good reds below $40 can feel bleak.

You’ll remember more recent vintages of this cuvée offered here previously.  And as usual this 2016 centers on pure red fruit that turns subtler and purpler with time.  ‘Les Dames de Vergy’' is a sun-catching spot just above Nuits and  the vineyard’s allspice warmth is particularly expressive this year.  Equal parts delicious and interesting.

'Add A Case' feels right.

Cheers,

Jason
