2022 Domaine du Pélican Arbois Savagnin 'Ouillé'

In 2012 after leasing Chateau Chavanes in Montigny-les-Arsures, Guillaume D’Angerville (Domaine Marquis d’Angerville in Volnay) gained access to 5 hectares of biodynamically farmed vines replanted ten years prior by the former owner. Within a short of period of time, Guillaume and his team in the Jura, led by François Duvivier, have adopted a Burgundian philosophy with a Jurassic sensibility and are poised to do great things. Today, the domaine is supported by an additional 5 hectares of vines never touched by chemicals formerly farmed by Jean-Marc Brignot, and over 4 hectares owned by Jacques Puffeney(retired since 2014).

Sourced from two parcels: "Au Barby" and "Grand Curoulet." ’Ouillé’ (filled up), indicates that Savagnin barrels are toped up and the wine is protected from air to avoid oxidation.
