This wine is 95% cabernet sauvignon and 5% cabernet franc. the cabernet sauvignon comes from the red hills AVA located east of st. helena, at the base of a volcano (1500 feet of elevation). The cabernet franc comes from the coombsville, napa AVA. It pairs wonderfully with anything salty or high in fat. delicious alongside any of the following dishes: pasta bolognese, sausage pizza, spare ribs (or any red meat), cheese plate, dark chocolate cake.
