2021 Anne Gros Échezeaux 'Les Loachausses' Grand Cru

Anne Gros cares for her vineyards sustainably, adhering to organic practices as much as possible depending on the conditions of the growing year. Grapes are always harvested by hand. Juice is fermented on indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks for both white and red wines.

In recent years, Anne Gros has been cutting back on her use of new oak barrels. As of the 2017 vintage, the estate uses one-third new barrels, one-third one-year barrels, and one-third two-year barrels, for all red Burgundy. 

Jules Gros patiently acquired several plots of land in the place called Les Loachausses to create a 3-hectare monopoly between 1910 and 1930. Planted by Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur in 1988, this 0ha76 parcel at a place called Les Loachausses (the origin of the name comes from a wetland plant) joined the Domaine in 2007 at the end of a lease of 25 years.
