Michel Gay started his own domain in 1992 when he split the family domaine with his brother. Fifth generation winemaker, Sebastian Gay took over in 2000 and the quality has increased remarkably ever since. The average vine age is over 40 years old and the use of new wood is kept to below 40%  for all wines other than the Corton.
