Regular price $64.95Bosquet des Papes was founded by the Boiron family way back in 1860 and, six
generations later, the Boirons are still in the driver’s seat. One of the oldest names in
Châteauneuf-du-Pape, over the decades they have procured many small parcels of
land, eventually gathering to themselves forty-three different holdings scattered all over
the appellation. Within the 27 hectares at their disposal, 3.5 ha is made up of 100-yearold vines (used to produce their Chante le Merle), while the average age of the total
planted area is 50 years. The style of Bosquet des Papes is characterised as rustic,
traditional and complex, and the winemaking is meticulous, producing rich, powerful,
distinctive expressions with an affinity for cellar time.
