Cru Beaujolais 4 Pack | $89.95 |
2017 Ch. du Moulin-à-Vent 'Couvent des Thorins'
This delightful Moulin-à-Vent is made from 40 year old, vines that are hand-harvested from 3 different vineyards and vinified with 100% whole cluster. The 2017 is elegant with candied strawberries, some slightly bloody minerality, a hint of licorice and a cool lifted palate. This is delicious young wine. -Daniel
2018 Chermette Fleurie 'Poncié'
Poncié is a great single vineyard site in Fleurie, with mostly granite soil and a southeastern aspect. This gives an elegant expression with great structure and minerality. 2018 is a juicy wine that shows crushed berries, herbs, excellent tension and acidity. Please chill it down and enjoy this bottle of juicy beaujolais! - Daniel
2018 Domaine des Chers Juliénas
This is denser, almost creamy, with an effusively floral nose and a palate that gives the impression of ripe, about-to-burst berries. A wine whose vivid purple color is mirrored by a palate impression of violets and ripe plums. Such a fun, infectiously juicy Juliénas. - Jason
2014 Rochette Morgon Cote du Py
I love the combination of bright, refreshing, and upright character combined with a dark profile that evokes suggestions of black tea, smoke, and black raspberries. Dare you not to fall in love! - Jason
It's that time of the year- "spring’s infuriations over and a long way to the first autumnal inhalations." And that means Beaujolais, Cru Beaujolais. As it happens, we've put together a pack that showcases different Crus, but that's coincidence; the chief criterion was deliciousness. To be served preferably with a slight chill, and with good company, staring at the sky, or at water or some other expanse that lets the mind wander while the tongue rejoices. These wines are all bright, to varying degrees savory and without exception refreshing. Enjoy!
