Special Offer Price - $99.95 per bottle with code BURGSTEAL
So you’re presented a Red Burgundy from a terrific growing season, a good single site in a major village, old vines, and twenty five years of bottle age - how much might you expect to spend? If the answer is anything less than $100 we’d love to hear more about your sourcing...
After our first Guillon offer a couple weeks back we received a few emails asking more about the Guillon style. The domaine’s wines from the late ‘90s and early ‘00s remind me of Denis Mortet’s from the same era: fleshy, textural, good agers. An importance difference though is that Guillon’s set you back about 1/4 the amount on an appellation-to-appellation basis.
Robust takes on their Gevrey terroirs, yes. Remarkably expressive maturities, also yes.
Cheers,
Jason
