Jean-Marie Fourrier's pure, red-fruited take on many of Gevrey's most notable terroirs number among our favorites.  A simple formula of old vines, correspondingly low yields, and early picking provides the raw materials that makes such perfume-y, elegant results possible.

The wines can be absurdly seductive young and thus are often sacrificed in pursuit of an immediate pleasure.  And yet brilliantly pure fruit and old vine-y depth also allow for superb ageability, a reality this list will ably evidence.  An example: the '08s, a terrific vintage chez Fourrier, have just started to go tertiary, a whiff of truffle in with the star-bright cherry fruit.

All wines are in stock and ready for peak-season Burgundy pleasure.

Cheers,

Jason
