Three decades of mature/maturing Selosse make a perfect excuse to get ahead of holiday season Champagne hoarding. Vintages span the second half of Anselme Selosse's 45-year tenure as Champagne's most iconoclastic vigneron.
Though young disgorgements can be absurdly impressive it's mature bottles that ferry us to the heart of Anselme's vision. The prioritization of 'mineral essence' above fruit and richness obviates the importance of aging. A decade (or two) post-disgorgement modulates youthful intensity toward a sense of complexity that is regularly fascinating and often astonishing.
Cheers,
