Sandlands focuses on working with lesser known grapes from restored vineyards of very old vines located throughout Northern California. Their vines are primarily ungrafted, head trained and dry farmed. The wines are small production and made in a low-intervention style. Their 'Lodi' Red Table Wine is a blend of Cinsault from the Bechthold Vineyard planted in 1886, Carignane from the Spenker Ranch Vineyard planted in 1900 and Zinfandel from the Kirschenmann Vineyard planted in 1915.
