After graduation, Pierre-Henri Rougeau spent a year in the vineyards of the Domaine de Montille and then sold oak barrels to several renowned estates such as Philippe Alliet in Chinon, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in Burgundy and Jean-Francois Ganevat in the Jura. This gave him an insight into how oak barrel style influences different types of great wines. The Pierre-Henri family, based in the center of Meursault, has been producing flawless wines with minimal intervention and minimal sulfur since he returned to the family business in 2010. Pierre-Henri Rougeot began to produce wines under his own brand Pierre-Henri Rougeot in 2017, he collects grapes in the vineyards of the Domaine Rougeot family farm and buys from friends.
