Sito Moresco combines the complexity of Nebbiolo with the roundness of Barbera. The name derives from Moresco, the previous owner of the parcel in Pajorè vineyard which was purchased in 1979. The 2022 Langhe vintage was marked by an unprecedented drought, delaying budding until late March. Despite a dry April, May’s rainfall aided bunch formation. A hot June and July were mitigated by green harvesting, promoting grape maturation. Rain in August refreshed the vines. Harvest, commencing August 19th for whites and concluding October 9th for Nebbiolo, was one of the earliest. The vintage, comparable to 2003, shows potential for excellent bottle aging.
