"From vines aged between 10 and 60 years, grown across the lieux-dits of La Viallière, Champon, le Plomb and Montmain, this is one of the few certified organic estates in the appellation. At eight years of age, the 2009 Classique is still youthful, poured from magnum, but starting to take on some earthy development. The palate still has a lovely sense of freshness, with juicy red and black berry fruits. It has a brisk saline finish, still with enough of a tannic frame to make this work well with lamb, rabbit or game birds.15% new oak, (Decanter, 92 points)".
