However, warm and sunny conditions in August and September ultimately ensured a successful harvest, which took place from September 15 to October 1, 1997 under bright sunshine.
Sourced from La Montagne Estate, this vintage is a blend of 62% Pinot Noir and 38% Chardonnay, with 9% aged in oak and 30% undergoing malolactic fermentation. The wine was disgorged in 2005 and released in 2022 after an extended aging period of 170 months on lees, contributing to its depth and complexity. It was finished with a 9g/L dosage, balancing richness and freshness.
