Carbonnieux classified in both colors has the particularity of having a vineyard evenly distributed between red grape varieties and white grape varieties. The latter has made enormous progress under the advice of Denis Dubourdieu. It develops aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers on the nose. On the palate, it presents a very nice richness, tensed by a refreshing acidity. The whites of Carbonnieux are generally to be drunk after 3 to 8 years of ageing. But the greatest vintages age remarkably well.
