Regular price $94.95Located in Beaune, Arnaud Baillot has been making wine since obtaining his Master’s in Business in 2013 and purchasing his first vineyards in 2017. Arnaud and his wife Laure, the granddaughter of the founder of Hudelot-Noëllat, showcase their passion for Burgundy terroir with their beautiful range of village and crus wines.
In addition to the original vineyards in Côte de Beaune, Arnaud and Laure added new domaine holdings in 2022, now totaling 7.5 hectares. Always farming organically with a focus in diversification, the vineyards span Hautes-Côtes, Meursault, Pommard, and Volnay. Beyond the Côte de Beaune vineyards, Arnaud is crafting terroir-driven négoce bottlings from Chassagne-Montrachet, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, and Vosne-Romanée.
Now in his seventh vintage, Arnaud continues to make big leaps in his winemaking. Arnaud’s passion for the heterogeneity of his wines is reflected in his investment in the domaine. He takes a very hands-on approach in the vines and the winery and is not afraid to take chances in his winemaking. For instance, he started incorporating the use of concrete eggs for élevage, taking a page from Charles Lachaux’s book, as he did this in his cellar to eliminate the use of oak. Arnaud’s “blank slate” allows him to be creative, to avoid being pigeonholed by a single appellation, and to craft his family history. He is in a strong position to find himself in such a historically rich wine region with great momentum and plans for the future.
