Jérôme Bourgeois took over his parent’s Domaine in 2001. The estate is located in Crouttes-sur-Marne on the road from Paris to Reims. The 7-hectare vineyard, divided all over town, is biodynamically managed. Pinot Meunier is the Domaine’s main grape variety, representing over half of the cultivated surface area. In this isolated part of the Vallée de la Marne, the clay-limestone soils insure the harvest of structured and ripe black grapes. No chemicals are used and the lunar calendar dictates important decisions. Jérôme delivers vinous bubbles that are yet pure and approachable for amateurs and the sharpest tasters alike.
