NV R. Pouillon 'Grande Vallée' Brut (2020 base)

Varietals: 65% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier

What attributes complexity to this Champagne comes from the fact that half of the base fermentation took place in neutral barrique. You'll find tangerine, cranberry, and crème fraîche aromas on the nose and a palate that's full of grapefruit, tangerine, juicy peach, and light mint complemented by an uplifting mousse and a highly kinetic energy.

The "Grande Vallée" cuvée is fermented with native yeasts, half in neutral barrique and half fermented in enameled tank. Elevage continues a minimum of 6-8 months before the wine is is blended with the previous vintage and the "perpetual cuvée" to be refermented in bottle utilizing unfermented grape juice from the same vineyards as its sugar source.
