Melini's debut of 'La Selvanella' in 1969 marked the first time a Chianti Classico wine had been bottled by a single vineyard and labeled as such, quite remarkable for a region that has been noted for it's winemaking for seven centuries! The wine certainly came from a trustworthy source as Melini has been historically producing wines since 1705.
