"From 40+ year old vines. A softly floral-suffused nose speaks of pear and apple compote, rosemary oil and a similar whiff of petrol character. There is excellent volume and notably better concentration to the relatively powerful medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a compact, serious and youthfully austere finale. This is excellent for its level and warmly recommended (BH, 90 points)."
