2022 Anne Gros Chambolle-Musigny 'La Combe d'Orveau'
SKU: B243
Regular price $144.95Anne Gros cares for her vineyards sustainably, adhering to organic practices as much as possible depending on the conditions of the growing year. Grapes are always harvested by hand. Juice is fermented on indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks for both white and red wines.
In recent years, Anne Gros has been cutting back on her use of new oak barrels. As of the 2017 vintage, the estate uses one-third new barrels, one-third one-year barrels, and one-third two-year barrels, for all red Burgundy.
This plot of village appellation of Chambolle Musigny is located at the southern limit of the territories of Chambolle and Vosne Romanée at a place called: la Combe d'Orveau. It was bequeathed by Louis Gros upon his death in 1951 to his son François. Exposed to the east, this valley opens onto the alluvial cone where the grands crus Echezeaux, Grands Echezeaux and Clos de Vougeot are located.
