The Chotard family has been making wine for well over two hundred years. Today, Simon Chotard has taken over proceedings after his father Daniel’s retirement. He farms the slope of the village Crezancy-en-Sancerre, practicing sustainable farming, and using organic composts to treat the vines. Typically, Daniel harvests his grapes later and ages the wine on its lees, resulting in wines that are luscious and complex with deep notes and long, satisfying finales.
