Jean-Pierre Monier is the third generation of his family to be farming in Brunieux, a lieu-dit in the hills above the village of St-Désirat in Saint-Joseph. Since 2006 with only five hectares of land to farm of vines and orchard fruit, Jean-Pierre earned a biodynamic certification inspired by German biodynamic guru, Maria Thun. “Châtelet” is a 100% Syrah from 0.6 hectares parcel.
