This estate was known as Chateau Le Chec until 2012, when its long-tie owners, Sylvie and Christien Auney, changed the name to Auney l”hermitage. Auney l’Hermitage was gradually assembled through the reclamation of ten small domaines totaling a little more than 21 acres. They produce two cuvees each of white and red. This cuvee Cana is basically a blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, with small amounts of Sauvignon Gris and Muscadelle added in; quite complex yet light on its feet, it is a classic expression of th terroir of the Graves district.

This wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle. Organic practices are used In the vineyard and the soil is rich in limestone, which provides minerality and structure. You can really taste the intensity and fragrance of Sémillon, often used in this region in a small percentage compared to Sauvignon Blanc. Muscadelle gives freshness. As you sip this wine you can taste melon and honey and a hint of candied fruit.
