Paso Robles is located about halfway between Los Angeles and San Fransisco and enjoys a sunny, Mediterranean climate very similar to that of France's Southern Rhône Valley. This makes it a natural choice to grow Rhône varietals and Tablas Creek has been a pioneer in the California Rhône movement since its founding in 1989. The 'Patelin de Tablas' is a classic southern rhone blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Counoise, sourced from select vineyards throughout Paso Robles.
