“Maximum work in the vineyards for minimum intervention in the cuverie,” that is the mantra of Génot-Boulanger's fourth generation vignerons Aude and Guillaume Lavollée. With 30ha of vineyards stretching across some of Burgundy's more gifted terroirs, the wines never lose their focus despite the wide range of appellations where their vines grow. Their wines are notably pure expressions of their terroir and share a savory edge among whites and reds. Located on the mid-slope, 'Grèves' has the longest history of high quality wine production in the village of Beaune. Thought to be named for it's gravelly soils, Génot-Boulanger's 'Grèves' has a sturdy red-fruited core with layers of mineral characteristics.
