Michel Niellon, who began working with his father Marcel in their 4-hectares estate in 1957, has crafted more than 50 vintages of extraordinary wines. In 1991, Michel Coutoux married Francoise Niellon, Michel's daughter. Originating from a wine family himself in the Loire Valley, Coutoux has shared the vineyard and winemaking responsibilities since joining the Niellon family. Mathieu Bresson, the son of Michel Niellon's second daughter, became involved with the Domaine 10 years ago, after studying at the Lycee Vitcole in Beaune. Today’s 7.5 hectare vineyard work is done under the sustainable practices. The wines are aged in oak barrels, 20-30% new, which match terror expression of the Domaine's wines.
