2015 Louis Michel Chablis 1er Cru 'Forets'

Michel family, has been making wines in the heart of Chablis since the 19th century.  The family business is managed today by Guillaume Michel, who takes great pride in perpetuating the Domaine’s ethos. Vines are 45 years old on average, located in the heart of the original Chablis terroir, covering all four appellations and offering the range of three Grand Crus, as well as seven Premier Crus. ‘Montée de Tonnerre’ Located on the right bank of the Serein is vinified and mature in stainless steel tanks for at least 12 months. 

'Pale-medium yellow. Pungent scents of lime, pear and musky minerality. At once dense and juicy, with a lovely spine of acidity running through the wine and giving its fresh orchard and citrus fruit and floral flavors very good precision without any hardness. Classic moderately fleshy Chablis from Kimmeridgian chalky marl soil.' (90 points)
