Paso Robles is located about halfway between Los Angeles and San Fransisco and enjoys a sunny, Mediterranean climate very similar to that of France's Southern Rhône Valley. This makes it a natural choice to grow Rhône varietals and Saxum is focused solely on making bold wines from the Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre grapes.
