Dumien name can be found in Cornas as far back as 1515. In 1925, before Cornas was recognized as an AOC, the family purchased the three and a half hectares of vineyards which constitute their current estate. 100% Syrah "Patou" is the top site south of the village with decomposed granite and a rich soil that gives supple tannins and perfumed wines. The oldest vines are 100 years old.
