Domaine Arlot takes its name from one of its parcels of land: the Clos de l'Arlot (4 hectare monopole). The domaine also holds a second prestigious premier cru, also as a monopole, the Clos des Forêts Saint Georges, as well as grand cru vines in Romanée-Saint-Vivant. It has been owned by the AXA Millésimes Group since 1987 and is currently 14 hectares in size. The domaine has been working organically since 2000 and with biodynamics since 2003. Its white wines are highly renowned, especially those from the Clos de l'Arlot and Clos des Forêts Saint Georges and its red wines are sublime with superbly vinified grapes in the full harvest. Previously managed by the remarkable Jacques Devauges, vinification has been led since 2014 by Geraldine Godot, from Maison Alex Gambal.

Romanée-Saint-Vivant offers an intense nose with fruity fragrances (cherry, blackberry, raspberry) as well as notes of violet. After a few years, it develops towards notes of undergrowth and leather. Its distinguishing characteristics on the palate are great depth and admirable density, delivering silky tannins and great aromatic complexity. This wine should be enjoyed with refined red meat dishes: fillet of beef with truffles, pressed duck or a chicken with cep mushrooms.
