Serge passed away in 2014, and the Hochar family legacy is now led by Serge’s sons, Gaston, Marc, Ronald(and his son Ralph). Chateau Musar Red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Cinsault from vineyards near the Bekaa Valley villages of Aana and Kefraya on gravelly soils over limestone, planted in the 1930s. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, these wines are released seven years after the harvest.
