Founded in 1850, D’Oliveira is one of the greatest of the classic Madeira shippers to survive from the pre-phylloxera era. Since 1968, under the guidance of João Pereira D’Oliveiras great-grandson(Aníbal and Luis), the firm entered a new era becoming world-famous.  No other company can boast such a wealth of great old madeiras as Verdelho from the São Martinho vineyards and superb examples of rare Terrantez and Moscatel planted in the late 1800’s. Produced from the rarer Boal grape, this wine is rich, elegant, with subtle sweetness and finishing dry.
